This was a favorite around my house when I was growing up. It made a wonderful side dish for BBQ.

Rice Vegetable Salad

Serves 6


4 cup Cooked Rice
1/4 cup French dressing
1 cup diced celery
1 1/2 cup cooked peas
3/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoon minced onion
3/4 teaspoon curry powder
to taste salt & pepper
1/16 teaspoon Tabasco
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard

Combine rice and dressing in a large bowl; allow to cool. Add celery and
peas to rice. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over rice mixture.
Toss with a fork. Chill well. Turn into a bowl lined with salad greens.
Garnish with tomato wedges.
